St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church

     One of our most meaningful ministries, the Outreach Store serves our walk-in clients, Rainbow Table visitors, pantry regulars when they pick up, and our own members as well.  The store is open from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM Monday through Friday.  This operation involves donating directly to those in need, and the proceeds from sales also support this church and its further good works.  We need a number of people to accept this call, to come forward and commit to covering a few hours on set days, to be willing to come in when asked to help cover our staffing needs.  This is not heavy or difficult work, they have a new air conditioner, and the need for more help is incredibly pressing at this time.  We need donations of clothing, working small appliances, and other decent stuff.  But mostly we need you.  Please consider a commitment, for a few weeks or a month or two; it will be appreciated.  Contact Lena Gentry in our church office at 323-7508.  The call has come to you; perhaps you could visit for a day, help, and see what this vital ministry is about.
